I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms could use some updates, particularly the bathroom. Additionally, breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered, and we could have used more water in the room. Overall, it was decent, but there were some downsides that need to be addressed.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and had a nice layout, but the bathroom felt tired and the towels were small and thin. Overall, they were cleaned daily, which was good.
Service
9.0
The staff were charming, polite, and very helpful throughout my stay.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the area with easy access to numerous restaurants and bars.
Dining

The dining experience was just okay; the breakfast was limited and would have benefitted from more variety.
Facilities

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was superb, just across from the market and close to the old town, which made exploring easy. The rooms were clean, but they felt a bit too small for comfort, and I faced a few issues with the bathroom. The service was friendly, but there were moments where it felt a bit lackluster. Overall, it's decent value for money, but there’s room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean, but a bit on the small side and the bathroom had some tired fixtures. I also had trouble finding a second set of towels.
Service
7.0
The staff were lovely, but at times, they seemed a little blasé and not particularly welcoming.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, right opposite the market hall and close to shops and bars, making it very convenient for exploring the town.
Dining
5.0
The dining was okay, but it wasn’t anything special. The options were quite limited, though the prices were reasonable.
Facilities
5.0
I didn't see much in terms of additional facilities; a little more could definitely enhance the overall experience.

The hotel offers a great location just across from the marketplace and close to the old town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. The rooms are what you'd expect from a Mercure—clean and functional—although mine had a few issues. The service was mostly good, with friendly staff, but I did have some trouble with parking. Dining could use some improvement as it felt a bit lackluster for the price.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with a nice layout featuring a separate corridor leading to the bathroom areas. However, the bathroom felt a bit tired, and I had to search for extra towels.
Service
8.0
The staff was generally very helpful and friendly. I did encounter some issues when trying to park, which could have been better managed.
Location
10.0
The location is really ideal, right by the covered marketplace and only a short walk to the old town, with easy access to restaurants and shops.
Dining
5.0
Dining was alright but not the highlight of my stay. The breakfast options were limited, and it felt a bit pricey for what was offered.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were decent, but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional.

I had a pretty good stay overall at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city making it easy to get to shops and cafes. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, though a little dated for my taste. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. On the downside, breakfast felt overpriced for what was offered, and I think they could do with providing more water in the rooms.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were very clean and done daily, although I found them to be dated and not quite what I was expecting.
Service
9.0
Service was great! From reception to restaurant staff, everyone was friendly and attentive.
Location
10.0
The location is ideal, within easy reach of restaurants, shops, and the indoor market. I particularly appreciated being within walking distance of everything else.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast options were fresh, filled with delightful croissants, but it would have been nice to receive a warm welcome and an explanation of the dining procedure.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be in a fantastic location, right across from the food hall in Angoulême. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with efficient air conditioning. However, breakfast was a letdown, as it was quite limited and expensive. Overall, the service was friendly and helpful, but I wish there had been more water provided in the room.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were on the smaller side compared to other Mercure Hotels we've stayed in but were very clean and included great views of the garden.
Service

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable.
Location

The hotel’s location was perfect, within walking distance of major shops and attractions, which made it quite convenient.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast could have been better, as options were limited and it felt overpriced for what was available.
Facilities

While the hotel was kept clean and well-maintained, there were limited amenities compared to what I expected.
